TimeOut founder Cory Kalser is animal-lover, internist, and ER physician with a mission “to make the world a better place.” She grew up in Lakeville, and now lives at the TOF farm with her husband, David McArthur, and their daughter Devou.

Creativity motivated Bob to become a consultant so that he could more broadly share what he learned as a senior executive in a multinational communications company during a decade of its record growth. Bob has been retained by public and private companies, both large and small, over more than thirty years in business. Assignments have included fractional CFO and other senior management roles on an interim basis both domestically and internationally. Background Bob specializes in business combinations, new business initiatives and turnaround situations across a broad range of industries including consumer products, business services, broadcasting, entertainment, media and communications segments. From inception through the present, clients have included Time Warner, HBO, Sony, Disney and their international affiliates, as well as WinStar New Media and Equity Broadcasting along with a number of smaller enterprises. Bob began his career at Ralston Purina at their largest consumer products plant and was trained in all aspects of plant operations and cost accounting. He then moved to Time Inc. in finance and operations from 1972 to 1978 during a period of record growth for the Company. Bob then joined HBO, Time’s subsidiary as Director of Programming Finance and in 1980 was promoted to its Vice President and Controller. During his five years in this role, he was given a broad range of responsibility including serving as a senior participant in the planning and launch of the Cinemax Pay TV service and HBO’s designated member of USA Network ‘s three-person Advisory Board serving along with Paramount’s and Universal’s representatives. Thereafter, his channel expertise has continued to be sought on both domestic and international launches as well as related interim management roles. As a consultant to WinStar New Media, he worked in a number of areas including due diligence, acquisition, integration of acquired entities and during that six-year period provided financial leadership on a divisional level. He continues to work on similar projects for other clients in the digital space. Bob is recognized as a financial expert under the guidelines established by the SEC and has served as CFO, Secretary and Director of public companies including Juniper Content Corp. and its predecessor Juniper Partners Acquisition Corporation, a publicly traded blank check company which was first established in 2005. While serving as an outside Director since 2000 of privately held Equity Broadcasting Corporation (predecessor to Equity Media Holding Corp.), he was retained by the Board of Directors to negotiate major elements of a business combination with Coconut Palm Acquisition Corp., a blank check company, and continued to serve as an outside Director of the publicly traded Equity Media Holdings Corp. following its merger with Coconut Palm Acquisition Corp. in 2007. He served as Vice-Chairman, Chairman of the Audit Committee, member of the Compensation Committee and Chairman of a Special Committee which was established to review certain strategic alternatives. Earlier, he was CFO and Treasurer of Memry Corporation a public company that designs, produces and markets products containing shape memory effect alloys. Bob received a B.S., Business: Accounting, from the University of Northern Colorado. He is an Eagle Scout. Outside The Office Bob enjoys spending time outdoors at Sky Farm, a horse farm, which he and his wife Marcia have owned since 1982. He has four adult children and four grandchildren.


Kathy Wiggins

Kathy was first introduced to the Foundation through her three children who each participated in the program. Having been involved for years now, she has been given the gift to see just how special the Farm is and the beauty it has to offer everyone who comes to visit. It has not only helped her children but it has also helped herself grow in many ways. In her eyes it truly is a special place. 

 

Justin Brice Guariglia

Justin Brice Guariglia is an American conceptual artist and a former photojournalist. Justin’s work explores the relationship between humans and the natural world. Justin partners with scientists, poets and philosophers in his research based art practice, Justin has flown with NASA scientists to document Greenland’s rapidly changing ice. Justin is a former photographer and photojournalist in Asia for 20 years, his work has appeared in National Geographic, Smithsonian, and the New York Times.


Stephen Leven

Stephen Leven is the co-founder of Irving Farm Coffee Roasters, based in New York City and the Hudson Valley. He co-founded the company with a college friend in 1996 and since the, they have expended to 12 retail locations in New York City and a roasting facility in Millerton, NY.
